Adding pozollan into cement to produce a better mixture is commonly done. Adding silica in nano size will make it easier for the pozollan to be mixed (homogenized), thus increase the density of the concrete matrix by filling the 'hollow' inside the matrix and makes the concrete stronger.
Silica also has a property of binding hydroxides that has negative impact, and makes concretes last longer if built in environment with high acidity.
